The Executive producer of Teddy Bear Pictures, Themba Ndaba alleged that his script and concept were stolen by one of the Shaka Ilembe writers and executive producers.

Themba Ndaba claims that between the producers of Shaka ilembe ( MultiChoice and Bomb Productions), one of them stole his 2012
Kind Shaka Zulu idea

Themba further said that he and his team had a film idea in 2012 named “ King Shaka Zulu” The Warrior King” and planned to release it in 2018, but couldn’t due to lack of funds.

He added that by the time the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition eventually approved their funding request in 2017 Bomb Productions already knew about their plans and took over. Themba Ndaba also claims that his idea was mentioned to the scriptwriter, director, and one of the cast who then took the script to Bomb Productions.
