It’s been raining congratulations for South African disc jockey and producer Black Coffee, who recently made history as the first South African to perform at the Madison Square Garden in the United States.
One of those who congratulated him on his win was President Cyril Ramaphosa. In a post on his official X account, the president congratulated the DJ for being the first South African to hold a show at the MSG as well as fill out the place.

“He stands as an example of how South Africans continue to distinguish themselves on the international music plane” read the post.
President Ramaphosa is one of several key figures in South African life who have congratulated Black Coffee on his win.
This milestone follows a couple of others, including his winning a Grammy Award for his album “Subconsciously” a while back.
Black Coffee is easily the most prominent disc jockey of South African provenance on the international music plane at the moment.
So many as his blessings that many now call him “God’s Very Own” – a testament to how much he has achieved and how far his fame and influence has spread. For Black Coffee, this may, in fact, just be the start of something new.
