The twin duo Major League DJz Bandile and Banele Mbere have been announced as the opening acts for the Burna Boy concert.

The Burna Boy Live in South Africa concert will take place at the FNB Stadium on 23 September. The Major League DJz have collaborated with international artists such as Major Lazer, Ty Dolla $ign, and Channel Tres, among many others.

As the countdown to the much-anticipated Burna Boy concert begins, the addition of Le Plane Elandile and Bakwa Lah hitmakers as the first crew to open up for Burna Boy has spiced things up.

Fresh from his whirlwind world Stadium Tour that saw him make history by becoming the first African artist to headline a stadium show in the UK, Burna Boy will kick off his After Tour in Johannesburg.
He has been awarded the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque for his achievements in music.

Earlier this year he was announced as the headline act for the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend. Joining him for the halftime show was Tems and singer Rema for the Afro beats-themed performance.

After the performance, the NBA family honored player LeBron James for becoming the league’s all-time scoring leader.
Burna Boy also headlined Afro Nations, the world’s biggest Afro beats festival, which took place in Portugal in June.

Some of South Africa’s most influential acts in the Amapiano scene who performed at the festival were the Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles, Musa Keys, Young Stunna, Daliwonga, DBN GoGo, Vigro Deep and Moonchild Sanelly.
