Khumalo claims that while she was approximately eight months pregnant, she was strangled by Jub Jub following an argument. As a result of the assault, she experienced severe abdominal pains and required medical treatment at the Sandton Clinic.

In June 2010, another alleged incident of assault took place. Khumalo was reportedly found with other co-actors at Rhythm City’s studio, which led to the presenter accusing her of being involved in a relationship with one of them. During this confrontation, she was allegedly assaulted with open fists, resulting in a visible scar on her lip.
