Sharing her reflections on Instagram, Rachel Kolisi began by expressing gratitude for their visit to London, where they saw Siya, attended a game, and hosted the inaugural Kolisi Foundation fundraiser in the United Kingdom.

She went on to share, “This week will mark our first week residing in Paris as we prepare for school. Nic is starting ‘year 4’/grade 4, and Kez is entering ‘year 1’/grade 1.

Today, I had to take Nic to a doctor in the city (given that most things are closed on Sundays). My confidence behind the wheel is growing, even though I still make a fair share of wrong turns.”

Rachel candidly admitted her aversion to grocery shopping in a foreign language, stating, “Navigating a grocery store in a different language is a whole new level of exhausting!” Nevertheless, she’s commenced French lessons through an app, in preparation for upcoming classes.

The mother of two also revealed that their son, Nicholas, would be celebrating his birthday on Sunday. “I’m contemplating how to make it special, considering he hasn’t made friends here yet. A trip to Disney might be on the cards” she shared.

Expanding on her caption, Rachel opened up about the emotional rollercoaster the family has experienced since their relocation. “Some mornings, I wake up feeling quite sad and a bit apprehensive; it comes and goes in waves.

The same goes for the kids. Yet, we remind each other of the exciting prospects ahead, and keeping busy does seem to help – I believe.”

Concluding her post, Rachel expressed her gratitude for those embracing this significant change and providing unwavering support. She raised a toast to the promising week ahead, saying, “Cheers to a wonderful week for all of us.”
