Miseducation, a young adult series that premiered on Netflix on September 15, is produced by Burnt Onion, the creators behind How to Ruin Christmas.
Besides Bantu Petse, the series features a lineup of notable South African actors, including Lunga Shabalala, Mpho Sebeng, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane, Luyanda Zwane, Prev Reddy, Sechaba Ramphele, Baby Cele, and more.
According to The Cinemaholic, the series follows the journey of Mbali Hadebe, a teenage influencer who faces social media cancellation after revelations about her mother’s corrupt political dealings surface.
To reinvent herself, Mbali relocates to Makhanda and secures admission to Grahamstown University, where she embarks on a mission to achieve her personal reinvention.
Along the way, she appears on the popular campus gossip show, The Spill, hosted by Raeesah, and runs an SRC campaign, with her squad, Jay and Natalie, inspiring her to reclaim her former glory.
