During a Samsung “Do What You Can’t” event celebrating the strength, brilliance, and accomplishments of women, Lira shared her inspirational journey of turning her stroke into a “blessing.”
Lira candidly recounted the day she experienced the stroke to the women in attendance. She described how everything seemed normal until she suddenly felt an unusual sensation during her walk.
This wasn’t the first time Lira shared her story; she had previously opened up as a guest on “The Upside of Failure” on Radio 702, hosted by seasoned broadcaster Relebogile Mabotja.
In that intimate setting, she revealed how her partner provided unwavering support throughout the ordeal, even calming her through video calls before her travel to Frankfurt.
This support continued as he stood by her side in the hospital, allowed extended visiting hours, and provided essential emotional strength.
Reflecting on her experience, Lira explained that the time spent in the hospital, focusing solely on her recovery, became a transformative blessing.
It allowed her to prioritize her well-being over professional commitments and financial concerns, providing her with a newfound sense of peace and calmness.
