However, amidst this collective sorrow, a glimmer of potential unity and reconciliation has emerged. Rapper iFani has publicly voiced his desire to mend his relationship with his long-standing rival, Cassper Nyovest, in the wake of AKA’s passing.
IFani had experienced discord with the late AKA, and the two never had the opportunity to address and resolve their differences.

The Xhosa rapper now hopes to remedy this situation by seeking reconciliation with Cassper while the chance remains.
Though the rivalry between iFani and Cassper Nyovest may not have been widely discussed, the Xhosa rapper indicated that AKA’s untimely demise has motivated him to attempt to mend fences with Cassper.
During an interview with DJ Sbu, IFani openly expressed his wish for a single meeting with Nyovest, with the intention of fostering a positive rapport.
His aspiration is to lead a life free from lingering grievances and industry conflicts. “AKA’s passing has kind of made me want to sort things out with people I crossed paths with in my past life.
I just want to make amends with them, because at any moment things can change,” he reflected.
He further elaborated, “That’s why every time the issue with Cassper arises, it strikes a chord with me. I feel like I just want to arrange that one meeting to clear up whatever was there and be in a good space. This is the mindset I want to adopt now, because at any moment, I could be gone, clearly.”
Responding to inquiries about his past differences with Cassper, IFani clarified, “Yes, there were issues, but they weren’t direct. They were related to music, not personal. It’s not personal at all; it’s within the realm of our musical careers.”

He also delved into the background of the friction, stating, “Cassper released a song that I believed wasn’t up to par, and then everyone jumped in—friends, family, everybody chimed in.
But I’ve moved past that now, and I wish we could meet and simply shake hands. Just one meeting, and then I’m content and at peace.”
