Social media users have expressed outrage at what they view as insensitivity on Euphonik’s part and have raised questions about his relationship with the late Zoleka Mandela.
Following the announcement of Zoleka Mandela’s passing, social media was flooded with heartfelt tributes from individuals expressing their grief and condolences.
People from various walks of life shared their sentiments about how Zoleka’s death had affected them and had hoped for her recovery.
However, DJ Euphonik, whose real name is Themba Mbongeni Nkosi, took to his Twitter page during this period of mourning and shared a post that appeared to celebrate the demise of his enemies.
The timing of Euphonik’s post raised eyebrows and sparked outrage, as it came shortly after the news of Zoleka Mandela’s death.

Some netizens have speculated that Euphonik’s post may be related to the rape allegations brought against him and DJ Fresh by the activist and popular X user known as Nampree, whose real name is Siphelele Madikizela.

In January 2021, Nampree accused DJ Fresh and Euphonik of drugging and sexually assaulting her more than a decade ago after a night out. The case was reopened in 2022 but was later dropped due to insufficient evidence.
It is alleged that Zoleka Mandela had a connection to Nampree and was one of the many anti-abuse activists who supported the alleged victim during the controversy.
