Okmalumkoolkat, whose real name is Simiso Zwane, and his partner of eight years, Simisile Zulu, have decided to go their separate ways, marking the end of a significant chapter in their lives.
The couple had recently celebrated their eighth anniversary together in July and shares a precious three-year-old son named Amafu.

Simisile Zulu, taking to social media, shared the news of their separation, stating, “Amafu’s dad and I are no longer together #respectfully,” alongside a heartfelt photo of the two holding hands at the beach.

According to reports by TshisaLIVE, Okmalumkoolkat officially paid Lobola (dowry) for Simisile Zulu in 2020, highlighting the depth of their commitment to one another.
Their journey began during the filming of Okmalumkoolkat’s hit song “Amalobolo” in 2016, where they first met and subsequently formed a friendship that blossomed into a romantic relationship.
Their relationship faced a challenging period in 2016 when Simisile Zulu was arrested in Australia for an alleged sexual assault incident.
He was accused of entering another artist’s hotel room and engaging in inappropriate behavior, which led to his arrest and subsequent legal proceedings.
After spending over a month in Australian prison on charges of assault with indecent intent, Simisile Zulu returned to South Africa.

He released a statement apologizing to those affected by the incident and mentioned that he had pleaded guilty for several reasons, including legal advice and being in a foreign country at the time.
