Nkanyiso Makhanya portrays Njeza in SABC 1’s and Mzansi’s hit soapie Uzalo. In Uzalo, the Njeza character is an ex-convict who is Nonkanyiso’s (Thuthuka Mthembu) nephew and Lily’s cousin brother.

In addition to the plot, Njeza had relationships with Zekhethelo and his sister’s friend Hleziphi, who dumped him after stealing a large sum of money.
Njeza is from the impoverished Xulu family of KwaMashu, which is known for crime and abuse; he spends the rest of his life attempting to change the poverty narrative.
Nkanyiso was born on May 23, 1993 in KwaZulu Natal and graduated from the University of Zululand with a degree in Communication Sciences. He pursues acting and MC careers, as well as establishing his own production company.

Nkanyiso, who is frequently rumored to be in a relationship with Dj Thando Duma, also known as Lady Amar, sparked dating rumors when he went on a date with fellow Uzalo cast member Noxolo Mathula, who plays Lily.
