However, she emphasized that they are now more intentional about limiting the children’s presence online.
Facing recent backlash on social media for over-exposing her children, DJ Zinhle spoke to Sowetan on Thursday, admitting that this criticism prompted her to reevaluate her approach.
She mentioned her intention to be cautious and gradually remove her children from the public eye.
Zinhle acknowledged that she and her family had become more comfortable with sharing their lives on social media, but they are now taking steps to address this.
As her reality show, “The Unexpected: DJ Zinhle,” returns for a third season, she plans to use the platform to address issues arising from social media trolls.
Zinhle highlighted the importance of addressing misinterpretations and negative comments online, turning personal experiences into opportunities for clarification on the show.
Touching on an incident involving a video with American star Usher, Zinhle explained that she intends to use the show to shed light on such situations and express her feelings about them. She emphasized the reality aspect of the show and its focus on her life.
The DJ also shared insights into her relationship with late rapper AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, who will be featured as an added cast member on the show.
Zinhle discussed the positive outcome of the tragedy that brought her closer to AKA’s girlfriend, Nadia Nakai, emphasizing the importance of blended families.
Reflecting on the success of her reality show, which won a South African Film and Television Award for best-structured reality show, Zinhle expressed gratitude for the recognition and credited the entire team for their hard work.
