Zahara, the beloved South African singer, has finally returned to her home in the province of the Eastern Cape. After a touching memorial service held on Thursday, her remains have been brought back to her family house.
The final chapter in Zahara’s journey will be marked by her burial on December 23 in the village of Phumlani.
Zahara’s mother, who had flown from the Eastern Cape, was present to identify her daughter before she was transported to her ancestral home. This gave her family members an opportunity to pay their respects and view her body before the upcoming funeral.
The arrival of Zahara’s body was an emotional moment for her family, with tears and heartbreak filling the air. The loss of such a talented artist has undoubtedly left a void in their lives.
Zahara’s battle with liver complications came to an end in a private Johannesburg hospital, surrounded by her loved ones and her fiancé. As she took her last breath, the world lost not only a gifted singer but also a cherished friend.
Although Zahara’s physical presence may be gone, her music and spirit will continue to resonate with her fans and loved ones. Her legacy as a legendary singer will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were touched by her soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
The Body of Our Multi Award Winning Star, Zahara leaves Mothibe Funeral Services this morning to her home in Roodepoort and will thereafter be escorted to O.R Tambo where she will be flown to East London with her family and close friends.#RIPZahara 🕊️Hamba Kahle Masthathu… pic.twitter.com/jLZ0H15FIE
