Thami Ngubeni joins eNCA’s ‘SA Morning’ show as a co-anchor. Mzansi netizens noticed that the news reporter got the job after leaving Newzroom Afrika in 2022.

Thami will now host The South African Morning program alongside Gareth Edwards which they already started on Monday, 4 September.

The news channel made the announcement on Friday, 1 September. “Thami will replace Sindy Mabe, who joined the channel in May 2023 to host The South African Morning with Gareth”

John Bailey, eNCA editor-in-chief, said Thami would be a perfect co-anchor. “She has the ability to deliver news with poise, accuracy and with charisma. Moreover, she has an innate talent to connect with the audience, make complex stories understandable and deliver breaking news with composure under pressure,” Bailey said.

Thami Ngubeni was also a host on Newzroom Africa and left the show early in 2022. When she left the channel, she made an announcement on social media.

“It has been an absolute joy to be part of such an excellent team at Newzroom. May the channel continue to grow from strength to strength and deliver news that is credible and fair. To all of you who joined me every weekday from 12- 3pm for daytime Update,” she said at the time.

Thami Ngubeni also currently hosts The Sacred Space on Metro FM – a show she has hosted for 17 years. Catch The South African Morning every Monday on eNCA (DStv channel 403) from 6am to 9am.
