In a surprising turn of events, the flamboyant artist Penny Penny is set to join the likes of Brian Molefe and Lucky Montana as a representative of the Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) party in parliament.
This unexpected move has left many scratching their heads and wondering how the artist, known for his colourful outfits and catchy tunes, will fare in the political arena.
Penny Penny won’t be alone in this political venture. The party’s chief whip in parliament, Sihle Ngubane, has informed reporters that the artist will be joined by disgraced former executives Brian Molefe and Lucky Montana, along with Siyabonga Gama.

The party is currently finalizing the administrative requirements to pave the way for these four to be sworn in. Notably, all three executives have been accused of aiding the state capture project.
The decision to bring these figures into parliament has sparked a fair amount of controversy. The popular musician quit the African National Congress (ANC) in the lead-up to the elections, citing mistreatment within the former liberation movement.
Ngubane has defended the MK party’s choice, stating, “When white monopoly capital discards the professionalism of our people, we will always go and take them from wherever they are in the dustbin, clean them up, wash them up, and put them back on the pedestal.
There is no ulahliwe (thrown away) in our culture; even in your family, you can make as many mistakes as you can, but your parents will never discard you as their kid.”
As Penny Penny and his new colleagues prepare to enter the political fray, the public watches with bated breath.
