In a chit chat with Zingah, Nadia Nakai shared that She was worried about losing fans by dating AKA. Nadia said she was very much concerned about her relationship affecting her career like it did with AKA’s ex, Anele Tembe.
AKA’s relationship to Nadia Nakai was made public after the rapper left Cassper Nyovest’s record label. Speaking about her thoughts and worries, she said to Zingah:

“There were a lot of factors that came into play. I was worried I would lose fans because I thought my fans were because of Refiloe [Cassper]. I didn’t realize my fans were my fans. They stuck with me and I’ve grown more, but I was concerned about that, my fans, that they were going to turn against me, what were people going to say, and with Kiernan(AKA) coming out of what he had gone through. I was also concerned about that, is it too soon, does he need time?” she shared.
