South African singer Makhadzi had the pleasure of performing in-front of President Cyril Ramaphosa and other first class dignitaries at the Netball World Cup 2023.
The event took place at the International Convention Centre at the weekend and the South African star had the privilege to meet President Cyril for the first time ever.
Taking to instagram, Makhadzi expressed her joy for the rare opportunity, thanking her fans also who have been nothing but supportive over the years.
She shared that she was afforded the opportunity to engage with the president and was praised for her sterling performance.
Last night I cried so much guys. I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has shown me support all these years. Firstly, God is the greatest, for all his grace. Then my day 1 fans who have been with me through the hard and the nice times… thank you so much guys, I am here because of what you do for me,” she said.
“I also just want to thank myself for being me. For being strong and never giving up. Today I can shake hands with the President and he tells me straight in the face that I am a great performer… I am happy,” she said.
The singer recently dropped her new video for her latest song “ Ndi Movie which was received warmly by fans.
