Lady Du has addressed internet trolls who came at her for the number of qualifications she has, saying she has nothing to prove to anyone.
In a short video that went viral displaying the number of certificates she has acquired, the amapiano musician stated that she has traveled to 108 countries and has 19 qualifications.

Taking to her timeline on X, she wrote “I had to hide my ID number but I have nothing to prove as my education is my wealth, not anyone’s. I had to motivate beauty students. I was chosen among other women to study and work on a cruise ship in 2011.
I went back a few times, as we traveled a lot. I have the currency of all the countries I traveled to. Being on a cruise where you were the only one who spoke your language was hard, so I decided to further my studies, signing up for multiple courses to keep myself busy”
These are the certificates I received. Some international, some local. This is why I opened a salon. If you listened to the whole motivation you would have caught something, but because we have people doing things for clout it’s whatever.

In May the musician announced she was venturing into business. She shared snaps of her certificates in somatology on Instagram, before revealing she was glad to be putting her skills to good use because pursuing music meant she had to put her passion for all things beauty on the back burner.

“Today is such a big day for me so let me motivate you a bit. These are my certificates in the somatology (beauty) and business industry, internationally recognized by city and guilds. Before I got hijacked by music, I completed my studies, which is the reason for opening my salon.
Today I have an international company coming to evaluate it for franchising. I specifically want it in the hood for township development. I am so emotional because through my talent I was able to make my dream come true,” she posted.
