It was all glam and glitz on day one of the 10th DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival which kicked off on Saturday 24 September.
The sun stood still and the weather was favorable as notable personalities gathered in style adding colors to the day.
This weekend’s festivities mark 10 years of global culinary flavors and sounds and steering the ship as MCs were actor and TV presenter Lawrence Maleka and Big Brother Titans season one winner Khosi Twala.
While the festival trended for all the wrong reasons last year and received backlash on social media with many attendees airing their grievances about their experiences, citing the long queues for toilets food stalls, and parking as nightmares, this year things were better.
Grammy award-winning pianist Robert Glasper, Nigerian superstar Tems, Mzansi’s darling DJ Lamiez Holworthy, and amapiano king Kabza De Small who was at the Drip stage set the stage on fire with their terrific performances. Some other musical arts and dance troupe also had the crowd going.
DSTV Delicious International Food and Music Festival was a perfect weekend getaway for South Africans and persons to have a great time.
