Mzansi Barbie’s premiere occurred on Wednesday night, and it seemed like everyone was there to display their version of Barbie and Ken’s fashion. From prominent influencers to local celebrities, everyone gave it their best shot.
The premiere was held in Johannesburg at the Mall of Africa. It was hosted by Warner Music, turning the Mall of Africa food court into a realistic Barbie Land.

Barbie mania has swept the world, with hues of pink dominating social media and Nicki Minaj and Aqua’s “Barbie World” soundtrack.
As a result of the enthusiasm, fashionistas spent time considering their clothing, which certainly reflected. On entering the area, waves of hot pink attire were all to be seen. The dolls made sure to slay at the Mzansi Barbie’s premiere.
Numerous variations of the well-known doll’s attire were spotted at the mini Barbiecore event, including tweed, sparkles, metallics, miniskirts, and fitness. The Kens added even more pink heat with their suits, shorts, and silk shirts.
The Mzansi dolls’ costumes would have made Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie happy. After all, the “Barbie” movie’s main characteristic is fashion.
It’s understandable why so many influencers were present at the movie premiere because it was a venue for content creators.
The premiere was hosted by 5FM presenter Zanele Potelwa, who ensured the Kens and Barbs tried all the different activations, including touch-ups at the Essence Cosmetics booth and some nail care.
Potelwa conversed with visitors, including Kim Jayde and Moshe Ndiki, whom she grilled about Barbie and their attire.
The Barbie booth at the Mzansi Barbie’s premiere was a great addition to the aesthetics. Unsurprisingly, everyone wanted to snap pictures in the Barbie boxes because they made the perfect photo booths.
Those who got there early had plenty of time to take those Instagram-worthy photographs without worrying about a long line watching them. Amongst several Barbie premieres, Mzansi’s Barbie premiere is one to always remember.
