Popular reality TV star and DJ, Gogo Skhotheni, whose real name is Tumi Motsoeneng, shared the devastating news of her three-year-old son’s passing.

On Tuesday, 3 September, Gogo Skhotheni took to Instagram to announce that Monde Junior Shange passed away on Monday. The announcement shook the online community, leaving fans and followers in mourning.

The Motsoeneng and Shange families released a statement confirming the tragic loss, explaining that Monde Jr. departed at 15:00 on Monday, September 2nd, 2024, at Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital.

They have humbly requested privacy as they navigate this deep and painful loss. The familes asked for understanding and compassion during this challenging period of grieving.

Despite the overwhelming sadness, Gogo Skhotheni’s faith remains unshaken. In her statement, she drew strength from Psalm 23:4, which reads: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Gogo Skhotheni has previously opened up about her son’s health struggles. She revealed that Monde Junior was born prematurely at seven months and faced several medical complications, including being born without the tube that transports food to the stomach. Despite many surgeries and the assistance of a machine to eat, the young boy’s journey was fraught with challenges.

In a moment of raw sentiment, Gogo Skhotheni exclaimed, “God is testing the wrong woman. God made a joke game, Amadlozi kept quiet, they saw me in pain daily, but they all did nothing. My faith is not shaken even by a snake, they know I would cross the ocean for them.” Her words reflect both her sorrow and her resilience, underlining an indomitable spirit even in the face of immense grief.
