Meta has introduced a new feature on WhatsApp called ‘Channels” that allows selected users to broadcast messages via Meta-owned App.
Meta is currently testing a handful of new features to be introduced to WhatsApp users before they’re rolled up this year.

Some of the new features the company is set to introduce include a screen lock for the desk stop app, view once text, companion mood and a new interface for Android users, and more.
The new feature “Channels” is a seamless, reliable, and private method for users to receive important updates from selected people and organizations within WhatsApp.

“Channels” is described as a feature that allows people to stay up and catch up on their favorite activities from keeping up to date with race, weather, traffic, and match scores and even sharing cooking or home repair tips on the go.
“I think the time is finally right to introduce a simple reliable and private broadcast tool,” Meta said.
