MacG has broken the ice in an interview about his proposal to his longtime partner Naledi Monamodi for a third time.
The host of the popular podcast and Chill revealed that his proposal was strategic and all planned out in other to manipulate Naledi to accept it.
“I knew she wouldn’t say no in front of 10 000 people. There’s no way; it was strategic,” he said.
There have been side talks on social media that MacG manipulated his fiancé by proposing at the sold-out show at SunBet Arena, given his first two proposals were declined by her. Many expressed concerns about the proposal, saying that something wasn’t right about it and wondered why she rejected his proposal twice in the past.
When Fresh asked why Monamodi said no on previous occasions, Mac G said it was because she was young. “The first time my family drove from Venda to Rustenburg and they were there only to be told no.
She was young when I met her she was like 21,” said Mac G.
“The second time was pretty much the same. She’s always had fears of marriage,” said the broadcaster. “She’s afraid of marriage, not just what it has done to people in her family, but her friends, because her friends got married at a young age and it didn’t turn out well.”
MacG occasionally speaks about her on his podcast, though the Chillers know very little about the host’s fiancé. The duo’s relationship has stood the test of time.

In part of his speech MacG says, “I was broke and didn’t have any money and I crashed into her apartment. She stuck with me and the only woman I’ve been [with] who loved me when I didn’t have a show and was a nobody. The stories I can tell about this lady are incredible but because tonight everyone that I love is here I feel like it’s only right.”
Then, he went down on one knee with a ring in his hand. Cheers erupted and their son was seen cheering along with the crowd in a video.
