After a two-year hiatus due to a stroke she suffered in Germany, South African musician, Lira, has announced her highly anticipated return to the stage. Taking to social media, she expressed her excitement and revealed that her recovery has been nothing short of a miracle.
Lira’s first live performance since her stroke will take place at the Baseline Fest, which coincides with Africa Day, on May 25, 2024. This milestone event will feature Lira performing with a live band, showcasing her resilience and determination to overcome adversity.
In her heartfelt message, Lira shared her initial struggles and the progress she has made on her road to recovery. “At first, it seemed like an insurmountable task to even be able to speak – but slowly, every day I made progress – and now we are here,” she wrote.
