In a surprising turn of events, 18-year-old Mzansi performer Jelly Babie has switched management, leaving her former manager with some candid remarks.
Thato Setati, who previously represented Jelly under STF Projects, recently spoke out about the reasons behind their professional parting.
Setati didn’t mince words when discussing Jelly Babie’s behaviour. “Jelly is greedy when it comes to bookings,” he revealed.

“While it was pleasant working with her, negotiating with promoters for bookings proved challenging due to her hardheadedness. She consistently charges R20,000 or sometimes even R25,000, without room for flexibility or relationship-building.”
The former manager also shed light on Jelly’s approach to rewarding hard work. “She doesn’t provide bonuses or extra compensation to those who put in extra effort,” Setati explained. “This lack of recognition led me to part ways with her.”
Jelly Babie’s backstage requirements, known as her hospitality rider, offer a glimpse into her preferences. The list includes:
- Henessy VSOP
- Moët & Chandon Champagne – Nectar
- Eight Redbulls
- Two Cranberries or Orange Juice
- Four Waters
- A Hubbly
According to reports, another industry insider, confirmed the separation. Jelly Babie herself acknowledged the change in management.
