Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, Black Coffee’s ex-wife, is facing legal trouble after being served with a lawsuit.
Cyan Haribhai, a freelance photographer, is suing Enhle Mbali for R143 million for infringement of copyright and loss of income.
Cyan photographed the actress during South African Fashion Week (SAFW) Autumn/Winter 2020 and is now accusing Enhle of reposting her photos without her permission.
According to the Sunday World, Cyan Haribhai filed the lawsuit in the Johannesburg High Court, accusing Enhle Mbali and her clothing label Essie Apparel of taking fashion pictures she had published on a fashion website, Photo Vogue, and reposting them on her Instagram account without her permission.
In the premises the posting constitutes an unauthorised copy, reproduction, alternatively a reproduction of a substantial part, further alternatively an adaption of the copyright works.
“In the premises further, the posting constitutes a direct infringement of the plaintiff’s conferred right of copyright in the copyright works as contemplated in Section 23 of the act,” read part of the court papers.
Enhle Mbali, on the other hand, retaliated against Cyan Haribhai. She is puzzled by Cyan Haribhai’s “frivolous” claims. Haribhai was accused of harassing Enhle and her team.
Enhle Mbali also accused Cyan of exploiting her photographs for financial gain without her permission.
Enhle Mbali, on the other hand, was recently accused of being a home wrecker.
Valentine Bango, a woman who only identified herself as Valentine Bango, went on a social media rant accusing Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa of having an affair with her husband, Justice Huni, for years.
