A brave woman is being hailed a hero after chasing down hijackers until they abandoned the car they had made off with moments before with the victim still inside.
The faceless good Samaritan even risked her own vehicle being shot at and damaged in her pursuit of the three men who tried to hijack a white VW Polo.
When they noticed the female driver in a Mercedes following them, the hijackers pulled over on a deserted street in Orchards, Pretoria, and fled.

One of the suspects, a man dressed in blue, took several shots at the woman’s car in an attempt to ward her off. But, this did not scare off the lady in a hero’s cape, and she waited until the hijackers were gone before approaching the victim to find out if he was okay.
The shaken owner of the VW got out of the backseat of his car and told the woman who may have just saved his life that they tried to hijack him, and had stolen his phone and wallet.
It was a narrow escape for the Mercedes driver, as one of the bullets hit her windscreen and cracked the glass.
Social media users were left in awe that the woman put herself in harms way for a total stranger.
