Author and global activist Zoleka Mandela, granddaughter of Nelson and Winnie Mandela, has been a beacon of hope for many as she courageously battles cancer.
In her ongoing journey to overcome this disease, Zoleka recently shared a new challenge she faces with her social media followers.

Despite the hardships she has endured, Zoleka Mandela continues to inspire others with her strength and resilience.
She has undergone various treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation, in her fight against cancer. However, her most recent CT scan revealed the presence of blood clots and fibrosis in her lung.
In a video post that showcased her signature smile, Zoleka shared this update with her followers:
“On the 17th of September 2023, I had a CT Scan administered a few weeks back, which has shown that I have blood clots as well as Fibrosis in my lung.
This explains the chest pains I had been feeling. My Medical Oncologist has recommended blood thinners and Oral Chemo. On the upside, I’m incredibly grateful that I am still treatable!
