Renowned South African music sensation Zakes Bantwini has officially disclosed the star-studded lineup for his highly anticipated Abantu Festival, scheduled to captivate audiences on the 28th of October at Cape Town Stadium.

Taking to his Instagram account, the Grammy-winning artist shared an eye-catching poster unveiling the impressive roster of artists set to grace the event.

The lineup boasts some of South Africa’s hottest musical talents, including YoungstaCPT, K.O, Goodluck, Jeremy Loops, Boity, and Mi Casa, among many other notable acts.

In a social media post, Zakes Bantwini excitedly announced, “CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 28 OCT 2023 ‘A B A N T U.’ Tickets available at @howlertech.”

In an interview, Zakes explained that the core idea behind the Abantu Festival is to create a remarkable experience for the people. He stated, “When we first conceived the concept of Abantu, our aim was to craft something extraordinary for the community.

It took us some time to perfect it, but I believe we now have a comprehensive event that will leave everyone eagerly anticipating it.”

In an interview with TimesLIVE, Zakes hinted at surprise performances scheduled for the DHL Stadium concert on October 28. He expressed his excitement, stating,

“We have assembled an exceptional lineup that I am confident will infuse a distinctive flavor into the local concert scene, unlike anything we’ve witnessed before.

This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for everyone to witness the extraordinary experience we have prepared for this historic event.”

Furthermore, Zakes Bantwini divulged that three shows will be held, with audience capacities of 25,000 for the first show, 45,000 for the second, and a grand 62,000 for the final one.

He also expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and the City of Cape Town, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to host his concert.
