In a recent Instagram live video, he candidly addressed the barrage of social media comments that persistently assert he is drunk.

“Let me make this crystal clear – I don’t touch alcohol, man. I’ve got no love for liquor whatsoever. So, let it sink in and stop telling me I’m wasted. Did you see me downing those drinks?” he retorted with frustration.
This isn’t the first instance where the Roll Up hitmaker found himself compelled to disavow any connection with alcohol.
During his appearance on the L-Tido Podcast, Emtee, sipping on tea sweetened with four sugars, openly declared his preference for marijuana.
He went on to delve into the profound journey of sobriety that has spanned a decade. Emtee shared, “One of the main reasons I waved goodbye to alcohol is that I came to realize that it’s nothing short of the devil bottled up.
I’ve witnessed the transformation in people when they’re intoxicated, the way it alters their character.”
Drawing from personal experience, he continued, “Even the kindest soul can turn into a completely different person under the influence.
I witnessed it in my own father, who battled alcoholism. I refuse to be just another statistic, so please, if anything, pass me the ganja.”

On his Twitter feed, Emtee expressed immense pride in his sober decade, emphasizing the perils of alcohol with a reflective statement, “A solid 10 years free from alcohol.
That stuff is the embodiment of temptation. Meanwhile, stoners remain as grounded as can be.”
