Reflecting on the significance of Women’s Month and the areas in need of transformation, this mother of two acknowledged the gradual progress of women in occupying spaces and careers previously dominated by men.
She expressed her hope for more unity and less critique among women, asserting that collective action has the potential to reshape the narrative that confines women to specific roles.
When addressing the challenges inherent in both business and life, Norma shared her wisdom on the importance of self-identity. She emphasized, “You may go through trials, but amidst them and afterward, it is crucial not to lose your authentic self.”
She stressed the value of not facing adversity in isolation, underscoring that during her own trials, she refrained from succumbing to despondency, as this can pave the way for depression.
Norma’s ultimate aspiration, as she articulated, is to provide platforms for other women as she climbs the ladder of success. She revealed her plans to establish avenues for teaching aspiring young designers about all facets of the fashion industry, encompassing finance, marketing, and branding.
With fervent hope, this fashion-forward mother envisions the Suitably Norma brand expanding to encompass all nine provinces within South Africa and, in due course, making its mark on the global stage.
