Laduma Ngxokolo Of MaXhosa and wife Nwabisa Bunde welcomes first child. Renowned designer and owner of the MaXhosa luxury clothing brand, Laduma Ngxokolo, celebrated a momentous occasion on Heritage Day this year.
While many were commemorating their cultural heritage, Laduma welcomed his first child, a daughter named Qamata.

Hailing from Gqeberha, this accomplished designer has gained international acclaim, with stars like Eddie Murphy, Nomzamo Mbatha, and John Kani donning his garments in high-profile events and movies such as “Coming to America 2” and “Black Panther” premieres.
Even international basketball player Dwyane Wade has been seen wearing his designs.
Locally, MaXhosa enjoys a devoted following, with regular clients like Unathi Nkayi often mistaken for brand ambassadors.
Laduma took to his social media to share the joyful news of his daughter’s birth, writing:
“I became uTata ka Qamata. on 24/09/2023, so excited about this new journey of being a father to our precious little girl.
