Reports suggest that popular actress Khanyi Mbau has decided to withdraw from her highly anticipated celebrity boxing match against Zodwa Wabantu at the Ridge Hotel in Mpumalanga.
According to Sunday World, the star of “The Wife” will no longer be participating in the boxing match against entertainer Zodwa Wabantu, and a replacement from an SABC1 soap opera is being considered.

The new participant’s identity has not been confirmed yet. Promoter Arnold “Squire” Nododile informed the publication, “Khanyi will no longer be part of the fight.
Please note we’ve found a potential replacement to fight with Zodwa Wabantu.
We are just waiting for the actress to return the contract today (Wednesday) so we can make the posters to promote the fight.”
The news of Khanyi Mbau’s withdrawal follows the promoter’s confirmation to Sowetan on October 3 that Mbau would face off against Zodwa Wabantu at The Ridge Casino in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, on October 22.

Responding to rumors about the fight, Khanyi Mbau, who is currently in Dubai, refuted the claims, stating, “No admin, it’s a lie. I’m not doing any fight with Zodwa mina. I’m a lady, why would I do that? My brand wouldn’t allow me to do such.”
