The statement said, “We respect the legal system and wish to indicate that Ms. Kelly Khumalo is innocent until proven guilty.”

However, management has decided to release Ms. Khumalo from her duties to perform at our festival this year to give her and her team the time they need to address the concerns arising from the ongoing legal procedures to protect our event.

Khumalo’s management declined to respond to TSZ Mzansi’s request for comment, stating that it was up to the organizers to do so. “My artist got booked, not a member of management”.

The decision was made by the organizers in response to the mention of Khumalo during the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.

Khumalo’s removal from the lineup has shocked fans, as many were looking forward to seeing her perform.

On August 12 at Emmerentia Dam, Tribute To Women 2023 will feature performances by Mafikizolo, Sjava, Amanda Black, and Kabza De Small.
