The former Generations actress sat down with Zanele Mbokazi on her Ukhozi FM show to share her testimony of God’s incredible restoration.

Sophie openly discussed how she once lived in an orphanage, even though she had a family, and how she lost her businesses, cars, and assets. She also revealed that diabetes and depression caused her weight to plummet from 89kg to 42kg.

Recalling a time when many had believed her to be dead, Sophie shared that she had gone from wearing size 36/38 clothing to fitting into clothes for 13 to 14-year-old children.

“I experienced depression before my skinny pictures started trending, without even realizing that I had lost weight. I didn’t work for three years, and my kids were fed by family and friends,” she revealed.

Sophie also mentioned suffering a stroke while sitting outside her house one day. She added that her son, Lwandle, had to carry her into the house and continued to care for her with guidance from their nursing friends until she recovered.
