Condolences continue to pour in following the passing of Smasho Papino over the weekend.
Smasho was a highly respected event organizer, artist manager, and booking agent, leaving behind a legacy of collaborations with artists like Ch’cco, Yumbs, Riky Rick, and Mr JazziQ, particularly in the amapiano scene.

Focalistic, fresh off his landmark one-man show in Pretoria on Saturday, expressed his condolences via Instagram Stories, saying, “Why do the good die young? King of the West! Always had such a bright energy, man. You’ll be missed.
Uncle Waffles also shared her condolences on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Rest well, bhuti, rest well.”
One of Waffles’ managers, Kai In The Cut, paid heartfelt tribute to Smasho, whom he described as a close friend. He expressed, “I love you, my brother, this hurts. I’m going to miss you, Smasho.”

Kai also shared videos of their time together on his Stories and wrote a lengthy tribute, highlighting the significant impact Smasho had on his life and career, especially during the lockdown period.
Kreative Korner, Kai’s social media blog page, also paid tribute to the late event organizer in a widely shared Instagram post.
