Tyla Seethal, a rising South African amapiano artist, has earned a name for herself with a recent VEVO DSCVR feature.

VEVO DSCVR is a program that highlights internationally successful musicians from the music industry. The feature is divided into two videos: a performance video and an artist introduction video.

Tyla introduces herself and discusses her musical inspirations and influences in her debut interview.

She also admitted to enjoying foreign performers like Rihanna and Aaliyah.

“Aaliyah and Rihanna are two musicians who influence my music. The vocalist says, “How can you not like Rihanna?”

Over the past three years, Tyla has steadily established her brand. From putting out the successful first track “Getting Late” to collaborating with Afrobeats vocalist Ayra Starr to dominating audiences around the world.

Not to add that she sat near reality TV star Kim Kardashian during the Dolce & Gabbana fashion presentation, according to The South African.

“I was really astonished when my manager casually asked if I wanted to attend the Dolce & Gabbana show. It was such a mission since I didn’t have my visa and I had to return to South Africa to get it before I could fly to Milan.

I went immediately to the headquarters after landing, where they outfitted me. They did my nails, and I felt like a princess,” says Tyla in an interview with the Sowetan.
