In podcasts, controversy often goes hand in hand with success. And Zingah, the renowned rapper and host of the popular podcast “Chopping It With Bhuda T,” has recently found himself under public scrutiny.

However, amidst the ever-changing landscape of SA Hip Hop, Zingah has taken a deeper dive into the genre’s challenges, which has triggered dissatisfaction among some viewers.
One SA Hip Hop fan took to Twitter to criticize Zingah’s podcast for predominantly focusing on the decline of SA Hip Hop, suggesting that it’s fueling division within the industry.
The post read, “Is it just me or does Zingah’s Podcast focus more on what’s wrong with Hip Hop? 😭 If anything, I think that podcast divides Hip Hop 🤣 the drama is entertaining, but at what cost.”
In response to the criticism, Zingah clarified that his podcast is not aiming to create division within the culture. Instead, he explained that he intends to find solutions to the current decline of the genre.
He believes that the conversations he has on “Chopping It With Bhuda T” can also inspire young listeners to think critically about how to revive Hip Hop.
“Communication plays a crucial role in finding solutions. The conversations I have on the pod are in the hopes that there are young people out there who can hear what’s wrong and how we can fix it. Perhaps they can help save this thing,” Zingah emphasized.
