Another figure in the entertainment industry has passed away. Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, the husband of Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule informed the world of the sad passing of his beloved wife.
The founder of the Crown Gospel Awards and prominent Ukhozi FM presenter departed in the early hours of Monday at Parklands Hospital. The news of her death has left many in the entertainment and faith communities mourning.
Zanele’s journey through her illness was a demonstration of resilience and grace. On April 21, she fell ill during her presentation on Ukhozi FM’s ‘Eshilo,’ unable to complete her broadcast due to voice difficulties.

Her colleague Thokozani Mamkhize Ndlovu stepped in to finish the show. Shortly thereafter, Zanele underwent minor surgery to address her shortness of breath, an ailment stemming from her battle with lung cancer.
Bishop Mpendulo expressed deep gratitude for the prayers, love, and support bestowed upon Zanele and their family throughout her illness.
