Talented musician and singer Zandile Khumalo has denied rumor of a R22 million deal with her sister Kelly Khumalo and Netflix for a documentary series about the Senzo Meyiwa murder.
Zandile Khumalo is the sister of the famous South African singer Kelly Khumalo.
Kelly and Zandi were present when former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa was shot at their mother’s home in Vosloorus on the 26th of October 2014.
On her Instagram account, Zandile Khumalo responded to rumors about the deal and said her attention was directed towards the upcoming release of her new single this week.
“Its always funny AF when I find out things about myself that I didn’t even know about myself 🙄🙄 Anyway dont let them defocus u bafuna silahlekelwe ifocus, like me just keep your eye on the prize and the only thing we are focusing on right now is the release of my new single “Emagameni Amathathu” on Friday the 13th of October okunye sokubona after…………EMAGAMENI AMATHATHU ELIKAYISE NENDODANA NO MOYA ONGGCWELE, LADUMA IZULU” she wrote.
According to a report, Netflix Production also slammed the rumors.
“There is no truth to these ‘reports’, there is no deal between the Khumalos and Netflix,” a Netflix spokesperson was quoted.
In 2022, Netflix released a true crime documentary titled Murder of a Soccer Star, which consisted of five thrilling episodes.
This documentary provided a deep dive into the events surrounding Meyiwa’s murder, shedding light on the details of that unfortunate night when he was shot in what was believed to be a failed robbery attempt.
Today, the murder trial looking into Meyiwa’s death resumed in the Pretoria High Court, where five are facing charges for the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
A cellphone expert was set to present additional cellphone evidence after the case was postponed last week.
