Following the death of veteran actor Patrick Molefe Shai, widely referred to as Patrick Shai, it is safe to say that the entertainment industry has been hit by yet another tragedy.

According to a source who spoke Exclusively to TSZ, the veteran actor and director died on Saturday, January 22, 2022. His family later confirmed the news.

Patrick Shai is believed to have committed suicide by hanging himself in the garage of his Dobsonville home.

A close family source of the late actor is yet to reply TSZ request for comment on the course of death.

Patrick Shai appeared in so many hit shows such as Soul City, Generations, Zero Tolerance, and the SABC 2 comedy Moferefere Lenyalong.

Between 2017 and 2020, the actor played Jacob Moloi on 7de Laan, where he co-starred with actress KB Motsilanyane as her father.

Patrick Molefe Shai said in his apology, “I should have as an adult. My apologies, I humbly, from the bottom of my heart, apologise for having used such strong language towards your mom. Even though the challenge would’ve been an ideal thing but now it has been soured by what I said.”
