Fans and celebrities like Pearl Thusi are still hit by the death of AKA who was tragically killed in February 2023 in Durban.
Thusi has continued to mourn the death of her friend seven months after his passing away, Taking to her instagram stories, Pearl Thusi said she was focusing on the good memories she shared with the slain rapper.

“Ready to focus on the happier times now. Losing you cut me deeper than I realized. Rest easy homie. I miss you. Thank you for the good times and the tricky (LOL).
“Can’t turn back the clock. But we can make every second spent with you count. You lived freely and honestly, even when it made no sense to the rest of us. There’ll never be another like you. You made this life worth living. A masterpiece.” She shared.
The family of AKA recently released a statement, assuring his fans that his death is still under investigation and that the police were doing their work.
In 2022, celebrity gossip, Musa Kwawula caused a buzz on social media after he alleged that AKA cheated on Dj Zinhle with her best friend Pearl Thusi. Many people started to speculate it could be one of the reasons why Pearl and Dj Zinhle who used to be best friends and like sisters were no longer close friends like before leading to their relationship ending very badly.
Peal Thusi however reacted to the damning allegation that she slept with rapper AKA when he was dating her friend DJ Zinhle. After trending on Twitter, Thusi seemingly addressed the rumors by saying she will not dignify them with a “real” response.
