The 29th edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMA) scheduled to hold in the year has been delayed till further notice.
TSZ Mzansi learned that the delay is a result of the show not being able to secure any sponsorship from cooperating or retail individuals. According to reports, the organizers, and the Recording Industry of South Africa confirmed the money issue slamming ideas of being canned.

Poor reviews from South African musicians over the years are gradually eating away the existence of the prestigious event.
SAMA’s Spokesperson, Lesley Mofokeng however stated that the show remains determined to deliver the 29th edition of the SA Music Awards even in the most challenging financial conditions, adding that the show is delayed because it is undergoing a facelift.
“We have undergone a restructuring process that relooked our processes and repackaged the Sama. The team has been hard at work with committee meetings, vetting of entries, judging, and other behind-the-scenes work,” he said.
