Opera singer, Pretty Yende loses mother, though the exact circumstances surrounding her death are unclear. Pretty shared the sad news on instagram where she also announced her decision to pull out of her upcoming performance due to her loss.
2023 has been filled with lots of ups and downs for the singer, Pretty Yende made history to become the first South African singer ever, to grace the stage in a solo performance at the King’s coronation which was held at Westminster Abbey.

She also found herself in the hospital after sustaining an injury on stage which forced her to cancel the other gigs that came in.
Yende was also spotted rubbing shoulders with South African fashion designer David Tlale, and clothing brand owner Thebe Magugu as they were under one roof engaging with President Cyril Ramaphosa in Paris, France.
Pretty Yende has now pulled out of another gig following her mother’s death. She shared that she and her family were still in mourning and asked for some time away.

“My sweet mommy passed away a few days ago. Our entire family and my town are in mourning, she touched so many lives with the magnitude and kindness of her heart and smile, which could light up everything and everyone around,” she said.
In her heartbreaking post, the beautiful opera singer said that although her mother had died, she will always remain in her and her family’s hearts.
