The music community has lost a luminary with the untimely passing of Malome Vector, real name Bokang Moleli. Known for his dynamic presence and soulful tunes, Malome Vector’s death has left a void that will be hard to fill.
On a sombre Saturday at the football ground of Roma Christ the King High School in Maseru, Lesotho, the late musician was laid to rest.
Friends, family, and fans gathered to honour the memory of an artist who had touched many lives. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as people recalled the vibrant life and legacy of Malome Vector.

Malome Vector tragically lost his life on July 24 in a car crash on the N1 in the Free State. The accident, which occurred near the Koppies turn-off, involved a collision between a vehicle transporting musicians and a heavy vehicle.
This tragic event also claimed the life of rising star Lwizi Wokuqala, adding to the sombre mood of the memorial service.
Social media has been flooded with pictures from the funeral service, capturing tearful goodbyes and heartfelt tributes. The artist’s family, close friends, and community members came together to celebrate his contributions to the music world.
While Malome Vector may no longer be with us, his music and impact will live on in the hearts of fans and loved ones alike.
