In a recent interview with Newzroom Afrika, Miss South Africa Mia Le Roux addressed the controversy surrounding Chidinma Adetshina’s withdrawal from the pageant.
Le Roux expressed her deep disappointment about the circumstances that led to Adetshina’s exit, emphasizing that Chidinma deserved her rightful spot in the competition.

The heartfelt statement highlights the camaraderie and mutual respect among the contestants, painting a picture of a united front behind the scenes.
The reigning Miss South Africa elaborated on her platform, stating that her mission is to foster inclusivity and unity. “I stand for unity. I do not stand for people being divided. So, I do think we can do better in that aspect to support and include one another.
“Because she was excluded, and that is not okay,” Le Roux added. Her statement underscores her commitment to making the pageant a more inclusive and supportive environment.
Considering what the Queen said, it is obvious that issues such as bullying and exclusion can cast long shadows.
By publicly supporting Chidinma and pushing for unity, Mia Le Roux is taking a stand that extends beyond her reign. It’s a call to action for future contestants and the entire pageant community to commit to a more inclusive future.
