Congratulations are in order for DJ Miss Pru who recently bagged a third qualification. She took to her timeline sharing a clip accompanied by a caption celebrating her success.
“What a journey. I remember being on the road travelling to events while doing assignments and submitting just before I’d have to work, lol. I’d sometimes be writing an exam after arriving from long trips, yoh.
It got wild sometimes, but quitting was not an option though it would’ve been easier to do. I’m still interested in going further, shuuuu education is so expensive, but it’s worth it. If you get an opportunity to study go for it. #ThreeBeltsIn #Beltcollection #GradHun,” she wrote.
“I did somatology at the University of Johannesburg, I then did my BCom in entrepreneurship at Mancosa. My new qualification is a postgrad in business management that I got at Mancosa.
“I’ve been preparing for the time when I won’t be djing as much and the positions I’d love to hold require me to have some educational backing.
Another important reason was to help me understand how to run my business better. I’m not so street smart but I knew through education I’ll get the upper hand as an entrepreneur,” she said.
In April Miss Pru became a wellness spa owner, she said she’d wanted to venture into business since she was in high school when she used to knit bags and sell them and that’s what kicked off her entrepreneurial spirit.
“It took me a lot of years to realize this was the path for me. I’ve been researching and planning for this. I’m a qualified somatologist.
I’ve worked in the beauty industry for some time and I’m doing my postgraduate diploma in business management because I want to fully understand how the business side works.
My end goal was to start a beauty salon. I needed the educational tools to give me a bit more confidence to start.”
