South African actress Letoya Makhene-Pulumo has disclosed why she decided to dump her character in the popular Mzansi Magic television soapy, “Generations”.

The actress threw a bomb on her fans following her decision to exit the show that is running into a decade.

TSZ Mzansi has learned that Letoya Makhene-Pulumo reason for bidding goodbye to the show is surrounded by the desire for personal growth and desiring something more challenging.

The actress made it known that she currently desires creative growth and venturing into futuristic projects where she can harness her talent.

“I love film. This is why I decided to leave ‘Generations: The Legacy’ … not because I didn’t enjoy it or I didn’t appreciate the platform that I had.

“God has blessed me with many other gifts. Not only am I a singer, I’m a traditional healer, a songwriter. I’ve got so many other different talents that I needed to get in touch with, and just time to grow” she said.

Makhene-Pulumo didn’t shy away from admitting that she had an amazing experience while on the show, she expressed readiness to collaborate with different creative teams and work on projects that align with her desires.

She captivated audiences of the series with her excellent and indelible performance playing the character of Tshidi Phakade on “Generations”
