South African music producer, Dlala Thukzin, is on cloud nine as he celebrates the success of his 2023 hit song, “iPlan.”
And who better to celebrate with than his beloved grandmother, Ntombifikile? The dynamic duo recently joined Gagasi FM at the Platinum Belt Lounge in Umhlanga to revel in the glory of winning Song of the Year.
Expressing his gratitude, the talented DJ thanked all those who voted for his song on various radio stations. “Thank you to everyone who has voted for me.
I was number one on Gagasi FM and six other radio stations. I love that my grandmother was able to make it to this gathering to celebrate the beautiful work I have done,” he shared with TshishaLIVE.
But it wasn’t just Dlala Thukzin who was grateful. His grandmother, Ntombifikile, also took the opportunity to appreciate her son for his hard work.
Reflecting on the journey of raising him as a single mother, she proudly said, “I thank Thukzin for the work he has done. When I look back on the way I raised Thukzin by myself to grow up to be the man he is today. He studied, and today he is a DJ.
Though I didn’t like the idea at first, I loved it when people came to me to tell me I should let him do it because it was his talent. I thank the Christians that we were with praying for him.”
With “iPlan” winning on Gagasi FM, Metro FM, Ligwalagwala FM, Motsweding FM, Radio 2000, Tru FM, 702, and SABC1, it’s clear that Dlala Thukzin’s talent and hard work have paid off. And what better way to celebrate than with the support and love of his grandmother, Ntombifikile. Cheers to their success and many more hit songs to come!
