DJ Tira, the renowned Afrotainment record label boss, is set to appear in the High Court on Friday, June 28, to address the defamation case brought against him by singer Luke Ntombela.
The allegations stem from an incident earlier this year, where Luke claimed she may have been sexually violated by DJ Tira.
Luke Ntombela, a former contestant on “Clash of The Choirs” and “Idols SA,” took to Facebook to share her experience. She alleged that she woke up naked in DJ Tira’s bed, having blacked out and unable to recall the events that transpired.
Screenshots of WhatsApp conversations between the two were also shared, with Tira purportedly requesting a face-to-face meeting to resolve the matter.
In response to the allegations, DJ Tira swiftly took legal action. His attorneys from Khathi and Mkhize Attorneys issued a cease and desist letter to Luke, demanding that she retract the defamatory statements made on social media and during a radio interview on Ukhozi FM. The situation escalated, leading to the court case scheduled for this Friday.

Accompanied by his wife, Gugu Khathi, DJ Tira spoke candidly about the matter. Gugu, a businesswoman and former Mafikizolo dancer, expressed concern that their family was being targeted. She emphasized that whenever they worked on significant projects, obstacles seemed to arise, hindering their progress.
